Want to become a Radio Amateur and have world wide communication?, then to obtain your license you will need to a certificate.  This is simply because all radio amateurs must adhere to a strict code of practice when using the air waves.

You can have radio communication with fellow amateurs from many different countries and also be a member of your local Radio Society.

The examinations are held by The City and Guilds examination board, at different times of the year to enable you to obtain a license. There are several types of licenses, including a full one requiring a morse code test of 12 words per minute (just lots of practice).

A twenty-three page document on "How to Become a Radio Amateur" is available on web site www.radio.gov.uk/publication/ra_info/ra190/ra190.htm

Send me an e-mail if you have any difficulty with theory, or require more information on the subject of radio communication.
